After the laser is emitted from laser tube, it passes through the first mirror, the second mirror, and the third mirror, finally is focused by the focusing lens and then emitted to the working table. The transmission of the laser is actually a process of multiple reflections and focusing. If there is mirror is loose during this process, the laser path will be shifted, so that the laser will not be able to output from the laser head. The following steps help you to solve the problem of laser path adjustment when you purchase a new Chinese Co2 Laser Cutting & Engraving Machine or install a new glass laser tube.
1. Adjust the position of the laser tube.
Keep suitable distance from the top of laser tube to the first reflect mirror. Attach the paper tape in the front of first mirror, then press the pulse button to mark a dot on the paper tape. Adjust the position of the laser tube to make the laser beam shot at the center of the first mirror.
2. Adjust the first reflect mirror.
Move the gantry beam nearest to the first reflect mirror, attach a piece paper tape to the front of the second mirror, press the pulse button to mark a dot on the paper tape. Then move the gantry beam farthest to the first reflect mirror, press the pulse button to mark another dot on the paper tap. Adjust the reflect angle of the first reflect mirror by adjusting the screws to make the last dot coincide with the first dot.
3. Adjust the second reflect mirror.
Move the laser head nearest to the second reflect mirror, attach a piece paper tape to the front of third mirror, press the pulse button to mark a dot on the paper tape. Then move the laser head farthest to the first reflect mirror, press the pulse button to mark another dot on the paper tap. Adjust the reflect angle of the second reflect mirror by adjusting the screws to make the last dot coincide with the first dot.
Note: The position of the marking dots must be in the center of the reflect mirrors, can't at the edge. If you marking dots are not in the center, please continue to adjust the first reflect and the second reflect mirror. If necessary, please adjust the position of laser tube.
4. Adjust the third reflect mirror.
Attach a paper tape to the nozzle of laser head, press the pulse button to mark a dot. Check if the dot is in the center of nozzle or not. If not, adjust the screws of the third mirror until the marking is in the center of nozzle.
5. Check if the marking dots coincide together when the laser head is at four corners of the working tabel. If not, use the above method to re-adjust the laser path until all dots coincide together.
Note: Laser is not visible, and it can hurt human directly. The operator needs to be careful when adjusting the laser path. The operator must undergo professional training before the laser path adjustment. During the adjustment, it is necessary to keep reflect mirrors clear, and no dust.
